Extension of European patent applications and patents is provided by Agreement between EPO and relevant Balkan countries. Extension is possible for all European patent applications and European patents filed on or after below dates. Serbia, formerly a member state of State Union of Serbia & Montenegro (Yugoslavia-YU) The Agreement between EPO and Serbia & Montenegro entered into force on November 1, 2004 and is valid in Serbia. Albania The Agreement between EPO and Albania entered into force in 1994. Bosnia & Herzegovina The Agreement between EPO and Bosnia & Herzegovina entered into force on December 1, 2004. Croatia The Agreement between EPO and Croatia entered into force on April 1, 2004.
Macedonia The Agreement between EPO and Macedonia entered into force in 1994.
